Privacy Policy

The British Journal collects the minimum information needed to run this site. We do not sell reader information.

Newsletter signup is handled by our email provider, Kit: your address is used to send the newsletter and for nothing else. You can unsubscribe at any time.

We use basic, privacy-respecting analytics to understand readership in aggregate. We do not build individual reader profiles for advertisers.

If you contact the newsroom, we keep your message only as long as needed to deal with it. Sources who ask for confidentiality are protected.
